With Ravenshill so positioned in Kielder Forest at the head of the reservoir, many activities lie right on our doorstep.

Walking and cycling - there are mapped out routes with markers from very gentle strolls/rides to some really tough treks, through the forest, hills and round the reservoir. As long or short as you want to make it.

Fishing - The reservoir has 27 miles of shoreline and is kept well stocked for fishermen - take a boat out for the day, or fish from the edge.

Sailing - There is a sailing club that offers training courses from beginners to advanced. Or you can bring your own boat and keep it moored there. They also offer a number of competitions throughout the year.

Horse Riding - Open all year round for rides in the forest and only 2 miles from us.

Golf - An 18 hole golf course with driving range is 20 mins away in Bellingham, or for the more professional drive 45mins to the Roxburgh near Jedburgh for a championship course.

You can also find a bird of prey centre, water sports, salmon hatchery and a lot of visual arts within close proximity to Ravenshill. There are also organised trips, from evening deer watching to 4 x 4 safaris.
